BOBBIE K OWENS * VITAE

From my earliest memory I knew I was going to be an artist. As a
child I had no idea what that meant. I still struggle with what it means. I do
know there is a drive within us and this drive is spiritually motivated.
I believe we all come into this world with a passionate sense of
wonderment. To hold on to this childhood innocence is not easy. We work at
this all our lives.
My
paintings are not planned or rehearsed. My paintings are about the surprise in
passion, in celebration, and this is never rehearsed.
The truly creative strength in my paintings is my identity. The
truly creative substance in any work of art is identity. Beneath this whole art
and life concept one thing must remain true…your own identity.
