ALEXIS STRELITZ MAURITANIA  SERIES OF PAINTINGS "TEA PARTY IN AFRICA"

The exhibition "Tea Party in Africa"   will be presented in February of 2005 Atelier International Gallery.  It  is a global survey in five main pieces about simple people encountered in a  journey that took place in Senegal and Mauritania in 2002:  fisherman, village elders, working women.  They portray a small glimpses of tall and slim African characters who are living and working in desolate and harsh surroundings for less than $20.00 a day.  Dignity and respect are the key word of this artistic search.
